This Monday I am heading off to Washing to DC!!! We (YHRI) are having our awards ceremony for the Youth for Human Rights Hero Award http://www.youthforhumanrights.org/awards/yhri-hero-award.htm and the Know Your Human Rights Hero Award http://www.youthforhumanrights.org/awards/khri-hero-award.htm.
We started these awards this year to validate ordinary people who do extraordinary things! I bet you know a few of those people in your life. They were launched in coordination with the Human Rights Department of the Church of Scientology International http://www.scientology.org/humanrights/ earlier this year.
Not only am I excited to go to Washington DC and meet with some of our nation's leaders in the government, but I am also excited to meet the recipients of these awards! They are all deserving of the acknowledgement and have amazing stories.
Look forward to another blog with pictures and stories of DC!
